Yogi's Economic Yoga: UP Flexes as Global Consumer Colossus

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has proclaimed Uttar Pradesh the world's largest consumer market, highlighting the state's significance in India's economic framework. Addressing participants at an investor meet of the textile park under the PM MITRA scheme, Adityanath expressed the view that UP was ecologically a funnel, not just in terms of its population, but also for Nepal, Bhutan and multiple Indian states. The CM went on to note the state's opportunity in the readymade garment market urging India to achieve greater success than Bangladesh in their exports. Adityanath also announced raising the credit limit for rural cooperative societies from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 15 lakh in order to leverage financial assistance to farmers and MSMEs. The chief minister's intent, alongside the activities of the state in promoting cooperative banking and technology, encased UP's objectives in increasing production AND reporting to the economy's resurgence.
