Youth Urged to Leverage Govt Skilling Initiatives for Global Careers: NSDC CEO

Ved Mani Tiwari, the CEO of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), has urged young people in India to take advantage of government skilling programs to build safe and successful careers abroad. During his remarks on February 13, 2025, he stressed the significance of ethical migration and skill-based employment in the global job market. NSDC’s initiatives, including the newly established International Academy in Greater Noida, provide specialized training in foreign languages such as German and Japanese, as well as technical skills designed for international job opportunities. These programs are aimed at equipping youth for careers in countries like Germany, Japan, and Israel. Tiwari pointed out that India is set to play an increasingly important role in the global workforce, with projections indicating that one in three workers will be Indian in the coming years. He encouraged young Indians to take part in these programs to boost their employability and help realize a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047.
