Zomato CEO Sets Ambitious ₹10,000 Crore Profit Target for 2028

 

Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal has reaffirmed the company's ambitious goal of achieving a ₹10,000 crore profit by 2028. This target, initially announced in 2023, remains a key focus as Zomato continues to expand its food delivery and quick commerce operations. The company reported its first-ever quarterly profit in Q1 FY24, marking a significant turnaround from previous losses. Goyal emphasized Zomato's commitment to creating long-term value for customers rather than pursuing "growth at all costs." With a current market valuation of nearly $29 billion, Zomato is exploring new ventures like its 'District' app for dining out and events, while also focusing on core businesses including Blinkit and HyperPure.
