Despite this growth, the sector is playing just 7% of its potential market, with a total addressable value of $45 billion.

Strategic Investments and Growth

Zomato has invested ₹300 crore in Blinkit, taking its total investment in the platform to ₹2,300 crore after it bought it in 2022.

Blinkit aims to expand its dark stores to 1,000 from 562 till March 2024 to enhance its delivery network.

The platform is expanding its categories, moving beyond grocery products to add apparel, electronics, and home décor.
