A Cruise-ing Victory: Hollywood Star Earns British Cinema's Ultimate Accolade

Hollywood legend Tom Cruise will be awarded the British Film Institute (BFI) Fellowship, the highest honor given by the institution. The honor acknowledges Cruise's exceptional contribution to film and his immense influence on the UK film industry. The 62-year-old actor will receive the fellowship on May 12, 2025, at the BFI Chair's Dinner in London. To celebrate, Cruise will engage in a public "In Conversation" session at BFI Southbank on May 11, sharing his storied career. The BFI will also screen 27 of Cruise's movies throughout May at BFI Southbank and BFI IMAX. Grateful to receive the accolade, Cruise said, "I am truly honoured by this acknowledgement," and credited the UK's gifted film practitioners and breathtaking landscapes. The honor is being bestowed as Cruise gears up for the release of his new film, "Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning," on May 23, 2025.
