A Global Chant: Navkar Mahamantra Divas Celebrated Across the Globe!

Millions worldwide celebrated Navkar Mahamantra Divas, a world spiritual festival marking the onset of peace, harmony, and non-violence, on April 9, 2025. The event was graced by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, at the grand function in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, emphasizing the significance of the mantra in bringing harmony and inner peace. Organized by the Jain International Trade Organization (JITO), the event was supported by more than 108 countries and more than 1.08 crore devotees with simultaneous chanting from 6,000+ locations in India and around the world.

 

The Navkar Mahamantra is a sacred Jain prayer that holds reverence for elevated souls and values non-violence and brotherhood. This worldwide observance precedes Mahavir Jayanti, the birthday of Lord Mahavir, the 24th Jain Tirthankara.
