ABB India Revolutionizes Safety with Advanced Flameproof Motors

ABB India has unveiled a groundbreaking range of low voltage flameproof motors, setting new standards for safety in hazardous environments. Launched on February 18, 2025, these motors offer power ratings from 37kW to 500kW and are certified for use in gas groups IIA, IIB, and IIC. Manufactured at ABB's Bengaluru facility, the motors feature advanced flameproof design with pressure-tested enclosures. Available in IE2, IE3, and IE4 efficiency classes, they operate in temperatures from -20°C to +60°C. This launch completes ABB India's flameproof motor range, spanning 0.18kW to 500kW, catering to industries like Oil & Gas, Chemicals, and Pharma.
