Airline Seat Blues: BJP Leaders Criticize IndiGo and Air India for Defective Seats

In a series of recent events, BJP leaders have accused major Indian carriers of their poor seating facilities. Punjab BJP Chief Sunil Jakhar condemned IndiGo's "chalta hai" culture after Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan faced a faulty seat on an Air India flight. Chouhan was disappointed with the services of Air India, terming it "unethical" to pay full fares for cramped seats. These are complaints that come in the wake of a viral controversy in which an IndiGo passenger had paid for a window seat but got a wall. The airlines have reacted to the complaints, vowing to redress the grievances raised by the passengers and political leaders.
