Airtel Boosts India's Digital Infrastructure: SEA-ME-WE-6 Cable Lands in Chennai

Bharti Airtel has successfully landed the SEA-ME-WE-6 submarine cable in Chennai, marking a significant milestone in India's digital connectivity. This 19,200 km cable system, connecting Singapore and France, will add 100 Tbps capacity to Airtel's global network. As a major investor with a 20% stake, Airtel is set to enhance India's position in the global digital economy. The cable, going live in 2025, will be integrated with Nxtra by Airtel's data centers, offering seamless services to businesses and supporting the growing 5G ecosystem. This strategic move reinforces Airtel's commitment to future-proofing India's digital infrastructure.
