Apple in talks with Bharat Forge for India-based component manufacturing

Tech giant Apple is in discussions with Bharat Forge, a prominent Indian manufacturer, to potentially include the company in its supply chain. This move could see Bharat Forge supplying mechanical components for Apple products, further expanding the iPhone maker's manufacturing presence in India. The partnership would align with Apple's strategy to reduce reliance on China and increase local value addition in India. If finalized, Bharat Forge would join other Indian companies like Tata Group and Motherson Group in Apple's growing network of suppliers in the country.
