Auction Blockbuster: Steve Jobs’ Letter on India’s Kumbh Mela Fetches ₹4.32 Crore

A handwritten letter by Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, penned on February 23, 1974—a day before his 19th birthday—has fetched $500,312 (approximately ₹4.32 crore) at a recent auction.  Addressed to his childhood friend Tim Brown, the letter reveals Jobs' spiritual aspirations, notably his intent to attend the Kumbh Mela in India.  In the letter, Jobs writes, "I wish to go to India for the Kumbh Mela, which starts in April."  This correspondence offers a rare glimpse into the contemplative mind of the young innovator, just two years before he co-founded Apple.
