BharatPe Group Secures RBI Approval for Payment Aggregator Licence

BharatPe Group’s Resilient Payments Pvt Ltd has received final authorisation from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to operate as an online payment aggregator. This milestone positions BharatPe as a key player in the digital payments ecosystem, enabling it to offer a comprehensive suite of payment solutions to merchants across India.

- Resilient Payments will operate under the brand name BharatPe X, focusing on bridging the gap between offline and online commerce.  
- The company plans to scale its payment solutions across a broader merchant base, with a particular emphasis on Tier II and III cities.  
- BharatPe is the only fintech company in India with an NBFC licence (Trillion Loans), a stake in Unity Small Finance Bank, and now, a payment aggregator licence.  
- The platform aims to enhance its product suite and invest in advanced technology infrastructure to support high-growth sectors.  
- BharatPe processes over 450 million UPI transactions monthly, with an annualised transaction value exceeding INR 1.7 lakh crore.
