Bharti Airtel Sees Major Stake Movement as Promoter Sells Shares in Block Deal

Bharti Airtel's promoter entity, Indian Continent Investment Limited (ICIL), sold approximately 5.11 crore shares (0.84% stake) in a block deal on February 18, 2025, raising nearly Rs 8,485.11 crore. The shares were priced at Rs 1,658.80 each, representing a 1% discount to the previous closing price. Bharti Telecom, another promoter, acquired 1.20 crore shares from this sale. The transaction includes a 180-day lock-in period for the seller. Following the deal, Bharti Airtel's shares remained volatile, trading at Rs 1,671.50 on the NSE in early trading. The NSEI block deal for BHARTI AIRTEL involved 55,953 shares at 1669.00 INR.
