Blackstone and Kolte-Patil Forge Strategic Partnership in Indian Residential Real Estate

Blackstone has agreed to acquire up to 66% of Kolte-Patil Developers, marking a significant investment in India's residential real estate sector. Initially, Blackstone will acquire a 40% stake through a preferential allotment of 14.3% and a share purchase agreement for 25.7% from existing promoters. This deal triggers a mandatory open offer to acquire an additional 26% from public shareholders, potentially increasing Blackstone's stake to 66% for approximately ₹1,800 crore. The partnership combines Kolte-Patil's local expertise with Blackstone's global investment acumen, aiming to accelerate growth in the mid and premium residential segments across Pune, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
