Key Highlights

Massive Turnout: The new group comprises 1,462 women, 41 children, and 181 sadhus and sadhvis, consistent with the open and eclectic character of the yatra.
Two Paths: Pilgrims are traveling two paths—4,302 on the scenic path of Pahalgam, and 2,337 on the shorter and steeper Baltal path, under high-security cover.
Total Pilgrims Till Date: Over 1.65 lakh pilgrims have already performed their prayers at the holy cave since the yatra was opened on July 3, 2025.
Improved Arrangements: Improved roads, increased rest and hygiene stops, and improved medical and security arrangements have been made by governments to provide a comfortable journey for everyone.
Stringent Registration and Health Rules: Only those aged between 13 and 70 years with a valid health certificate are allowed entry. Registration is mandatory, both online and at over 540 authorized bank branches in India. Pilgrims must carry RFID cards to enable tracing and security.
Yatra Duration: The 38-day yatra will conclude on August 9, which is the day of Raksha Bandhan, providing ample time for devotees to seek blessings of the naturally formed Shivling ice.
Climate Impact: This year, the Shivling is purported to be melting at a faster pace with increasing temperatures and most taking the pilgrimage early.
Unshakeable Commitment: Unfazed by dust storms and inclement weather, the determination of the yatris remains unshakeable, with thousands challenging the weather day after day to arrive at the sacred destination.
