BYD Sealion 7 Launches Today: High-Tech Electric SUV Set to Shake Up Premium EV Market

BYD is launching its highly anticipated Sealion 7 electric SUV in India today, February 17, 2025. The premium EV will be available in two variants: Premium (RWD) and Performance (AWD). Featuring an 82.56 kWh battery pack, the Sealion 7 boasts an impressive NEDC range of up to 567 km. Standout features include a rotating 15.6-inch touchscreen, panoramic sunroof, and advanced safety suite with 11 airbags and ADAS. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on March 7, 2025, with prices expected to start around Rs 48.90 lakh. The Sealion 7 aims to compete with established rivals like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 in the premium electric SUV segment.
