Celebrity Chef Claudette Zepeda Opening New Lounge in Leucadia

Following stints on Top Chef and Iron Chef Mexico, San Diego chef Claudette Zepeda is opening a new small restaurant, Leu Leu, in Leucadia. The lounge is located in a 1930s bungalow opposite Pannikin on Highway 101. Zepeda will be a co-owner of this "indie project.".
Zepeda has experienced her share of highs and lows, from high-profile performances to "paying-bills horrors". She walked for hours in Santiago before she was prepared to embrace new opportunities. Leucadia, in Zepeda's eyes, is similar to Imperial Beach, where she was born.
