Cementing the Future: Star Cement Unveils ₹3,200 Cr Assam Project

Star Cement Ltd signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Assam government to set up a ₹3,200 crore cement clinker and grinding facility. The pact was signed on February 26, 2025, on the last day of the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit. This hefty investment is part of a greater swell of industrial investment in the state, which involves a ₹1,500 crore hydrogen and steam generation unit from Matheson Hydrogen Lvt Ltd. The investments were well-received by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma as he lauded Assam as a preferred spot for business expansion.
