SEIL Energy India Limited and IIT-Madras have collaborated to create a revolutionary carbon capture technology named 'Chemogel'. This solvent, based on nanoparticles, dramatically increases carbon capture efficiency compared to conventional amine-based solutions. With increased capture rates, more efficient regeneration, and greater SO2 tolerance, Chemogel is set to revolutionize industrial carbon capture processes. SEIL has invested ₹7.1 million in the CSR program for facilitating the installation of a pilot plant for high-performance operation under actual conditions. This partnership is a big step towards industrial cluster decarbonization and net-zero emissions, which can transform efforts to reduce climate change globally.
