Chennai's Water Crisis: Is Your Area on the Cut List?

Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) has informed about a 24-hour supply cut of drinking water in a number of locations within the city on March 4 and 5, 2025. This is for Chennai Metro Rail Ltd (CMRL) interconnection main pipeline works at Sterling Road and Uthamar Gandhi Road in Nungambakkam. Areas affected are sections of Teynampet, Kodambakkam, and Adyar zones, including Choolaimedu, Nungambakkam, Mambalam, Saidapet, Gopalapuram, Royapettah, Mylapore, and Alwarpet. Citizens are requested to keep sufficient water in stock and can order tanker supply through the CMWSSB website in emergency situations. Regular water supply will be restored after the completion of the work
