CISF Trains UP Special Security Force For Namo Bharat Corridor

In a significant step toward strengthening India’s next-generation transport infrastructure, the CISF has launched a specialized training program for personnel of the Uttar Pradesh Special Security Force. The initiative is designed to prepare SSF officers for deployment along the Namo Bharat Corridor, India’s first semi-high-speed regional rail system connecting Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut.  

The inaugural batch includes 40 personnel, among them one commandant-level officer, who are undergoing a six-day course at the CISF’s Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) unit. The training focuses on handling X-ray baggage inspection systems (X-BIS), operating advanced security gadgets, and managing rapid transit-specific safety protocols. Officials confirmed that 200 more SSF personnel will be trained in subsequent batches, reflecting the scale of security preparedness required for the corridor.  

The Namo Bharat Corridor, operated by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), is expected to transform regional connectivity by offering semi-high-speed travel across major urban centers. With large passenger volumes anticipated, the deployment of trained SSF personnel under CISF guidance is seen as critical to ensuring safety, efficiency, and public confidence in the system.
