Coinbase Makes a Comeback: India, Get Ready for Crypto 2.0!

Coinbase Global has obtained registration with India's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), which will allow it to provide crypto trading services in the nation. The firm will introduce initial retail services later this year, with further investments and products to follow. This development comes after Coinbase's earlier exit from India owing to regulatory issues. The registration is in line with India's increasing interest in cryptocurrencies, even as there is a 30% tax on trading profits. Other platforms such as Binance and KuCoin have also listed with the FIU to trade in India.
