Dalmia Bharat Boosts Capacity with Assam Plant Expansion

Dalmia Bharat has commenced commercial production at its newly expanded 2.4 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) cement grinding unit in Assam, increasing its total cement manufacturing capacity to 49 MTPA. This expansion aims to cater to the growing demand for cement in the northeastern region, bolstering Dalmia Bharat's market presence. The project involved an investment of ₹696 crore, funded through equity, debt, and internal accruals. This strategic move positions Dalmia Bharat as a leading cement manufacturer in North-East India, supporting regional infrastructure development projects.
