Digital Life Certificate Campaign 4.0 Begins: India’s Pensioners Go Smart Nationwide

A Tech-Driven Push For Pensioner Welfare  
The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) has rolled out the largest-ever Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 4.0 across India. Running throughout November 2025, the campaign aims to simplify the annual life certificate submission process for pensioners by leveraging biometric face authentication and digital platforms like Jeevan Pramaan.

This year’s campaign adopts a saturation model, targeting over 2 crore DLC submissions through 2,500 camps in more than 1,850 districts, cities, and towns. The initiative is supported by public sector banks, India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), UIDAI, EPFO, and ministries including Defence, Railways, and Posts. State governments and pensioners’ welfare associations are also actively participating.

• The campaign builds on the success of DLC 3.0, which saw 1.62 crore submissions in 2024
