E-NAM 2.0: Revolutionizing Agricultural Trade Across India

The Indian government has announced a significant upgrade to the electronic National Agricultural Market (e-NAM) platform, aiming to boost inter-state and inter-mandi trade. The new e-NAM 2.0 will feature enhanced efficiency, user-friendliness, and scalability. Key improvements include bank account validation, eKYC using Aadhaar, and integration of assaying and logistics services. This upgrade is expected to resolve logistical challenges, leading to faster trade, reduced wastage, and improved farmer incomes. The platform has also expanded its reach, now covering 231 tradable commodities across 1,410 mandis nationwide.
