Eco Hotels Slashes Rights Issue Size: A Strategic Pivot or Financial Caution?

Eco Hotels and Resorts Ltd has announced a significant reduction in its planned rights issue size from ₹450 million to ₹200 million. This decision comes amidst the company's ongoing efforts to expand its portfolio, having recently acquired three properties totaling 178 keys. Despite the reduced issue size, Eco Hotels remains committed to its growth strategy, aiming to reach 400-room capacity by month-end. The company's CFO, Vikram Doshi, maintains confidence in achieving profitability by March 2026. This move raises questions about the company's financial strategy as it navigates the competitive hospitality landscape while pursuing its eco-friendly, zero-carbon footprint vision.
