Educators Unite: A Call to Combat Extremism Through Knowledge

In a recent event at Punjab University, Vice Chancellor Professor Muhammad Ali emphasized the critical role of education experts in addressing the growing challenge of extremism. Speaking at the launch of two books on Hindutva and Maharaja Ranjeet Singh's education system, Professor Ali highlighted the importance of fostering peace and understanding through education.  

The Vice Chancellor stressed that while pride in one's religion is natural, extremist ideologies such as Hindutva pose a threat to societal harmony. He called on education experts to actively engage in creating awareness and promoting tolerance to counteract divisive narratives. The event also featured discussions on the remarkable contributions of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh's education system and the need for inclusive and progressive educational practices.  

Experts at the event underscored the transformative power of education in shaping minds and preventing the spread of extremist ideologies. They advocated for curricula that emphasize critical thinking, social welfare, and humanity, urging educators to take a proactive stance in promoting peace and coexistence.
