eMudhra Acquires CRYPTAS to Cement European Digital Trust Leadership

eMudhra Ltd. made a strategic acquisition of $4.8 million to purchase a 51 percent share in Austria's CRYPTAS Group, the leading encryption, key management, and qualified trust services provider in Europe. This deal is a milestone in eMudhra's global growth in the digital identity and cyber security space.

Key points of the agreement:

The deal comprises CRYPTAS and its wholly owned subsidiary PrimeSign, an EU eIDAS Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP).

CRYPTAS will be independent, and the current management will be retained to ensure growth and continuity.

eMudhra has entered into a performance-linked earn-out and put/call option for the remaining 49 percent interest in the transaction.

Strategic thinking:

The alliance allows eMudhra to provide capable electronic signatures, identity management, and safe authentication services in the European Economic Area.

This is complemented by eMudhra's presence in highly regulated industries like financial services, government, and banking, where NIS2 and GDPR compliance are of the highest priority.
