Formula 1 Legend Eddie Jordan Passes Away: A Legacy of Innovation and Charisma

Eddie Jordan, the charismatic former Formula 1 team owner and television pundit, has died at 76 after battling aggressive prostate cancer. Jordan passed away peacefully in Cape Town on March 20, 2025, surrounded by family. The Irish entrepreneur founded Jordan Grand Prix in 1991, which competed for 15 years and secured four victories. Known for his vibrant personality and talent-spotting abilities, Jordan gave Michael Schumacher his F1 debut and nurtured numerous world champions. After selling his team in 2005, he became a popular commentator for BBC and Channel 4. The motorsport world mourns the loss of this influential figure who brought rock and roll flair to Formula 1.
