From Classroom to Cubicle: The Rocky Road for India's Young Job Seekers

The global youth unemployment rate stands at 13%, affecting nearly 65 million young people. Even as challenges continue, there has been improvement, with about one in five youths in employment, education, or training. There are some instances where conflicting regions exhibit higher unemployment level compared to pre-pandemic levels. This is mainly promoted by the discrepancy between the qualification and labor market. In response, the Citi Foundation announced the 2025 Global Innovation Challenge, providing $500,000 grants to up to 50 organizations for innovative youth employment solutions. The deadline for proposals is March 3, 2025.
