Green Peas Turn Red Flag: Karnataka's Snack Shock

Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao revealed shocking results related to fried green peas in Karnataka. Of 31 samples checked, 26 were found unfit for consumption due to the existence of artificial coloring, including prohibitive ones like Tartrazine and Sunset Yellow. These were found to contribute to serious health issues, being capable of generating cancer and diseases. The Food Safety Department took a total of 106 samples, with the remaining samples still being analyzed. This finding comes in the wake of recent plastic sheet concerns in idli preparation, reflecting the government's increased efforts to provide food safety in Karnataka. Legal action will be taken against the culprits who used dangerous additives in food items.
