Guwahati to the Rescue: KKR vs. LSG Match Finds a New Home

The much-awaited IPL match between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 6 will be shifted from Kolkata to Guwahati. The decision has been made following the announcement by the Kolkata Police that they are unable to ensure proper security for the match with the large scale of 'Ram Navami' festivities to be celebrated in the city. More than 20,000 processions are lined up in West Bengal, making security arrangements tougher. The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) had first tried to reschedule the match but with no dates available in Kolkata, the game will now be played at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
