Apple is planning to reveal a major software redesign this fall, borrowed from its Vision Pro mixed-reality headset. The redesign will modernize the appearance of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, simplifying interactions and presenting a more uniform interface across products. The substantial upgrade, rumored to arrive alongside iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and macOS 16, should give demand an overdue boost after post-pandemic sales downturn. The updates will be unveiled at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference in June, the most dramatic design update for macOS since Big Sur and for iOS since iOS 7.
