India Invited to Play Key Role in Gaza Reconstruction Efforts

Palestine has urged India to join the international initiative to rebuild Gaza following the recent ceasefire. Dr. Abed Elrazeg Abu Jazer, chargé d’affaires of the Palestine embassy in India, emphasized India's potential to contribute through projects like hospitals, schools, and humanitarian aid for women and children. The United Nations estimates $50 billion will be needed to rebuild Gaza, with 69% of its infrastructure damaged. India, already a significant donor to Palestine, has pledged $4 million for reconstruction and could further strengthen its global humanitarian role by participating in this effort.
