India races ahead in AI race, forges into global top 10 in AI Index

India has been gaining tremendous ground in the AI space and for the first time finds itself in the top 10 of the Global AI Index. This has happened due to strong and diverse workforce in AI. Demographics have played a part, and this has been supported by academic excellence. The government has promised to invest over Rs 10,000 crore into funding startups and AI projects, with language model development. Initiatives like the IndiaAI Mission and its at the state level are going to catapult India into using AI for inclusive growth and innovation in various sectors.
