India Set to Reap Big Rewards as US-China Trade War Fuels Export Surge

The US-China trade war is expected to significantly benefit Indian exporters, with a notable increase in shipments to the American market. As US tariffs on Chinese goods take effect, Indian products are becoming more competitive, particularly in sectors like electrical machinery, pharmaceuticals, and textiles. The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) has highlighted that US buyers are likely to seek alternatives to Chinese imports, providing a substantial opportunity for Indian goods. During the April-November 2024 period, India recorded $52.89 billion in exports to the US, marking it as a crucial trading partner.
