India's Drone Revolution Takes Flight: Over 29,500 Registered UAVs Soar Nationwide

India's drone industry is experiencing rapid growth, with official data revealing over 29,500 registered drones across the country. Delhi leads the pack with 4,882 drones, followed by Haryana (3,689) and Karnataka (2,516). The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued 96 Type Certificates for various drone models, with 65 designed for agricultural use. This surge in drone adoption aligns with the government's efforts to promote UAV technology across sectors. Recent policy changes, including simplified registration processes and the introduction of a drone airspace map, have further fueled the industry's expansion.
