India's First Space Unicorn in the Making

IN-SPACe Chairman Pawan Goenka has said that India's first space unicorn is on the cards. One startup is currently worth $500 million, and a few others are worth $250 million. Goenka pointed out the fast growth of India's space startups but added that funding is still an issue. Nevertheless, the industry is picking up pace with government backing and private investment. The government has sanctioned important projects, such as manufacturing more than 60 LVM3 rockets, with private sector participation. This is India's goal to develop its space economy from $8.4 billion to $44 billion by the year 2033.
