India’s Golden Secret: Women Own 11% of World’s Gold Reserves, Anand Mahindra Reacts

Indian women collectively possess approximately 24,000 tonnes of gold, accounting for about 11% of the world's total gold reserves. This remarkable accumulation surpasses the combined reserves of the top five gold-holding countries: the USA, Germany, Italy, France, and Russia. Industrialist Anand Mahindra referred to this vast collection as the "hidden wealth of India," highlighting its cultural and economic significance. Gold remains deeply embedded in Indian traditions, symbolizing wealth and security, particularly among women.
