India's Mutual Fund Boom Signals A Bright Future for Investors in 2025

In 2024, the mutual fund industry in India witnessed unprecedented growth with AUM reaching ₹68 lakh crore. This growth was majorly led by equity mutual funds, which contributed to 45% of the total AUM. Sectoral and thematic funds were also gaining popularity, and their AUM increased by a whopping 79% to ₹4.61 lakh crore. Other achievements include a peak in SIPs, reaching all-time highs at ₹13.54 lakh crore. The adoption of diversified investment strategies in India will only fuel the mutual fund industry further to expand in 2025.
