India's Toy and Footwear Revolution: Goyal Unveils Plan to Dominate Global Markets

Union Minister Piyush Goyal announced groundbreaking policies to propel India's toy and footwear manufacturing sectors onto the world stage. Speaking at the Invest Karnataka 2025 Global Investors Meet, Goyal revealed that toy imports have halved while exports have surged 3.5 times in five years. The upcoming policies aim to cement India's position as a global champion in these industries. This initiative aligns with the government's broader push for high-tech manufacturing, supported by nearly ₹2 lakh crore allocated under the Production-Linked Incentive scheme and ₹74,000 crore for the Semicon Mission.
