IndiGo’s New Chapter: Stability, Connectivity, and Holiday Cheer

IndiGo, India’s largest airline, has issued a fresh assurance that its network remains operationally stable ahead of the peak holiday travel period, which spans from December 25 to January 1. This announcement comes after a challenging start to December, when the airline faced a major scheduling crisis due to new crew rest regulations and winter weather disruptions. Since December 9, IndiGo has steadily ramped up capacity and is now operating between 2,100 and 2,200 flights daily, connecting passengers across 138 destinations.

 

The airline highlighted its commitment to reliability, especially during adverse weather such as dense fog in northern India. IndiGo stated that it is well-prepared to manage any further disruptions and minimize passenger inconvenience, even as forecasts predict a harsher winter. Additionally, the airline is set to welcome India’s first Airbus A321XLR, which will launch new routes from Delhi and Mumbai to Athens starting January 23, 2026.
