Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States today, January 20, 2025, at 12 PM EST (10:30 PM IST). The swearing-in ceremony, initially scheduled for the West Front of the Capitol, has been moved indoors to the Capitol Rotunda due to extreme cold weather. Chief Justice John Roberts will administer the oath, followed by an inaugural address outlining Trump's vision for his second term. Vice President JD Vance will also take his oath at the ceremony.

Key highlights include a celebratory luncheon in Statuary Hall, a military pass-in-review, and a parade along Pennsylvania Avenue. Evening celebrations feature three inaugural balls: the Commander in Chief Ball, Liberty Ball, and Starlight Ball. This will be Trump's second and last term. He is the first U.S. president since Grover Cleveland to serve non-consecutive terms. The theme of this year's inauguration is "Our Enduring Democracy: A Constitutional Promise".
