IRFC Unveils 'Navratna' Logo, Marking New Era of Financial Autonomy

Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) has launched its new 'Navratna' logo, marking its recent upgrade to Navratna status by the Government of India. This coveted status, conferred on March 3, 2025, enables IRFC to invest up to Rs 1,000 crore or 15% of its net worth without the need for government approval. The company, with Rs 26,644 crore turnover on a yearly basis and Rs 49,178 crore net worth in FY 2023-24, is now capable of increasing its funding operations from the Indian Railways to the overall rail sector. IRFC CMD Manoj Kumar Dubey laid stress on the company's greater capability to raise funds for railway-related projects at competitive levels due to its lower costs and facility to get low-cost loans.
