ISRO Achieves Breakthrough: Vacuum Ignition Test of Indigenous Cryogenic Engine Successful

In a significant milestone for India's space program, ISRO successfully conducted a vacuum ignition trial of its indigenous CE20 cryogenic engine on February 7, 2025. The test, carried out at the ISRO Propulsion Complex in Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu, simulated space conditions for the engine powering the LVM3 rocket's upper stage. This achievement marks a crucial step towards enhancing ISRO's capability for multiple cryogenic engine restarts during flight, potentially revolutionizing future space missions.
