Jamshedpur Soars: Jharkhand's First Skydiving Festival Takes Tourism to New Heights

Jamshedpur's Sonari Airport became the launchpad for Jharkhand's inaugural skydiving festival on February 16, 2025. The eight-day event, organized by the state tourism department in collaboration with Skyhigh India, aims to boost adventure tourism in the region. Tourism Minister Sudivya Kumar inaugurated the festival, which offers participants the thrill of jumping from 10,000 feet. With 50 enthusiasts already registered from various cities, the event showcases Jharkhand's commitment to diversifying its tourism offerings beyond its traditional religious and cultural attractions. This initiative aligns with the state's broader strategy to position itself as a premier destination for adventure seekers.
