JSW Group Inks ₹3 Trillion Deal with Maharashtra for Multi-Sector Investment

The JSW Group has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra, committing to a massive ₹3 trillion (approximately $40 billion) investment across multiple sectors in the state. This wide-ranging agreement covers investments in steel, renewable energy, cement, battery manufacturing, and electric vehicles.The deal aligns with JSW's recent expansion plans, including their growing focus on the EV sector. In Nagpur, JSW Energy plans to invest ₹25,000 crore in a lithium-ion battery plant, creating about 5,000 jobs. Additionally, JSW Green Mobility Ltd will invest ₹27,200 crore in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar for an electric and hybrid vehicle factory.This strategic move is expected to significantly boost Maharashtra's industrial landscape, creating thousands of jobs and enhancing the state's position in key manufacturing sectors.
