JSW Steel Faces Earnings Plunge Amid Steel Dumping Crisis

JSW Steel reported a staggering 71% drop in net profit for Q3 FY25, totaling ₹719 crore, primarily due to the steel dumping crisis and declining prices. Despite achieving record crude steel production of 7.03 million tonnes, revenue fell 1% year-on-year to ₹41,378 crore. Analysts attribute the profit decline to weak demand and increased competition, with EBITDA margins tightening to 13.5%. The company's performance highlights ongoing challenges in the steel industry as it navigates external pressures.
