Lights Out on the Moon: Blue Ghost Leaves Its Mark

Firefly Aerospace's Blue Ghost lunar lander has completed its historic mission with a poignant farewell message from the Moon. Having landed successfully on March 2, 2025, in the Mare Crisium region, Blue Ghost successfully completed its mission, such as deploying NASA instruments. The mission was a remarkable achievement as the first commercial spacecraft to have a fully successful soft landing on the Moon. Blue Ghost will now quietly watch over the moon's surface, having left a legacy of innovation and promise for space exploration to come. Firefly intends to keep lunar missions going with Blue Ghost Mission 2 in 2026.
