Maharashtra Boosts Farmer Support: ₹15,000 Annual Aid Now Available

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced a significant increase in financial support for farmers under the Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana (NSMNY). The state government will raise its contribution by ₹3,000 annually, bringing the total aid to ₹9,000 per year. Combined with the ₹6,000 from the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, eligible farmers will now receive ₹15,000 annually. This boost aims to enhance agricultural productivity and alleviate financial stress on farmers. The increased aid will be distributed in three equal installments, directly transferred to farmers' Aadhaar-linked bank accounts, benefiting millions of small and marginal farmers across Maharashtra.
